Part 20: 'I hate the ending myself but it started with an alright scene.'

Isa started rubbing Samâ�™s back. He took a deep breath and started telling his story.

â�œYears ago, when we moved in this city, my dad told us, my family, we would live in a violent neighborhood. He said we had to protect us from those people. So he bought a gun. We kept it safe in a place, where only our family knew where it was.â�

â�œOkay... But what has that to do with us?â� Alexandre asked.

â�œApparently, somebody out of our family knew where that gun was to.â�

There was an awkward silence. Everybody was staring at Sam. He took Isaâ�™s hand and finally found the courage to end his confession.

â�œNot so long ago, I noticed the gun was gone... And now itâ�™s still missing.â�

Alexandre stared at his best mate. He felt a cold pit in his stomach.

â�œAnd that person is...?â�

Sam looked up and gazed into Alexandreâ�™s eyes.

â�œYou know that a year ago, I dated Julie...â�

They heard a glass breaking. Apparently Lillian dropped her glass with coke.

â�œYou told her where you kept the gun?â� Alexandre said, not believing what his best mate was trying to tell him.

â�œNo! No... Somebody was sneaking on our backyard. So I took the gun and scared that thief away. But at the moment, Julie was with me... She must have seen where we hide the gun...â�

Alexandre went over to Lillian and hugged her.

â�œI swear Alex... I didnâ�™t want to... I didnâ�™t know... Youâ�™ve got to believe me! I didnâ�™t want this to happen. I didnâ�™t know she saw it. I would never...â�

â�œItâ�™s okay Sam... You didnâ�™t know what she would do.â�

Sam sighed.

â�œIâ�™m so sorry...â� he barely said.

â�œYou shouldnâ�™t be... Itâ�™s not your fault.â� Lillian suddenly said.

She had found her voice back. She didnâ�™t blame Sam for what happened.

Days went by and the two couples hung around together almost every day. One day:

â�œHey guys. Iâ�™m kinda sick of this mall. Canâ�™t we go hang around somewhere else?â�

â�œHm. The park then?â�

â�œAhm. Even the birds know us there! Weâ�™ve been hanging around in those places a lot latelyâ�¦â�

â�œOkay. You with your brilliant ideas, tell us then where you want to go then!â�

â�œGuysâ�¦ Guys! Donâ�™t start to fight or somethingâ�¦ My parents have a beach house â�¦ Maybe we can go for a week or something to there?â�

â�œBrilliant idea! See, you have to be a woman to actually have to come up with great plansâ�

â�œPffâ�

â�œWomen power!â�

Isa and Lillian laughed. They enjoyed looking at the boys their faces. So everything went by quickly and they made a lot of plans. The two couples were making their suitcases for a week at the beach.

Alexandre was at the mall. Lillian gave him a list of what they still needed. She was almost done packing. She took some clothes and finally, after two hours, she was done. Lillian went downstairs to get her a coke. Suddenly she felt someone pushing her. She fell down the stairs and lay at the end of it. Her stomach hurt so bad...

â�œHavenâ�™t I told you, you can never mess with me?â�

â�œJulie...!â� Lillian whispered with a voice full of pain.

â�œIâ�™m back... And I see that Alexandre still is with you! Havenâ�™t I asked you something?â�

Lillian turned around and stared into Julieâ�™s eyes. They looked insane and full of anger.

â�œI consider that as a yes?â�

Lillian widened her eyes as soon Julie pointed the gun at her â�“again. She seemed to enjoy how much fear that gun caused to her victim. Lillian got up quickly and ran inside the living room. She tried to block the door, but Julie entered the room via the kitchen. She stopped trying to block the door and it opened again, desperately finding her way out, but Julie draw Lillianâ�™s attention to her.

â�œSo where are we going, Miss Adelie?â�

â�œPlease, Julie... Letâ�™s talk!â� Lillian stuttered.

Julie laughed and Lillian got goose bumps, because that laugh was not normal.

â�œI saw you packed your suitcases... Where are we going, Lillian?â�

Lillian didnâ�™t dare to answer.

â�œLet me guess...â� She faked a concentrated face.

â�œI think... Heaven?â� She pointed the gun to the ceiling. â�œOr maybe hell?â� She pointed the gun at the floor.

â�œIâ�™d love to stay here...â� Lillian said with a cracky voice.

Julie laughed again.

â�œItâ�™s time to say goodbye, Lillian! Just take one last look at this place...â�

Lillian opened her mouth, she wanted to scream, but it felt like someone grabbed her by her throat and was choking her. Julie put a finger on the trigger and just before she pulled it, Lillian thought she heard someone calling her name. The next seconds Lillian canâ�™t quite remember what happened... But when she opened her eyes, she saw Alexandre lying on the floor! He blocked the shot and took a bullet for her!

â�œOh God no! Alex!â�

Lillian fell down on her knees and took him into her arms. He barely whispered â�œI love youâ� before he passed out.

â�œNO! Alex... No wake up! Please hun .. Donâ�™t leave me now... I love you to! Come on Alex! Open your eyes....â�

Lillian felt a hatred to Julie deep inside... She had killed him. The only guy she loved the most. She looked at Alexandre and saw she shot him in the place where his heart was. The heart that loved her. The heart that she wanted to keep close in hers. The heart that changed her life. And she killed him! Lillian turned around, she had never felt such a hate towards a person, and she knew she would kill Julie...

Julie stood there, with her eyes glued onto Alexandreâ�™s body. She never wanted to kill him! She loved him more then her own life!

Lillian her hands were covered with Alexandreâ�™s blood. She ran towards Julie, and tried to grip her throat. She was going to choke her! Julie panicked. She didnâ�™t know what to do. Lillian grabbed the pistol. The two girls struggled and fought for the gun. Suddenly they heard a big bang. The gun went off for a second time. Lillian fell down on the floor. The second bullet went into her body, just above her hips. The pain was worse then anybody could imagine. She touched the place and felt how blood was coming out, where the bullet went in. She crawled towards Alexandre and kissed him on his lips.

â�˜Why do they feel so cold?â�™

She got her cell phone out of her pocket, with difficulty, and dialed 911. She painfully whispered:

â�œHelp... us... been... shotâ� before passing out.

*Hours later*

Lillian opened her eyes.

â�˜Wait... White walls - not my clothes â�“ noises â�“ Iâ�™m in the hospital! Oh God.. Alex!â�™

She tried to get up, but a pain situated a bit lower then her stomach was killing her.

â�œShht...â�

She felt somebody laying his or her hand on her head.

â�œItâ�™s going to be okay... Just be calm and lay down!â�

â�œIsa?â�

â�œYes.â�

â�œWhat... How...â�

â�œThey traced your phone call...â�

â�œWhere is Alex?â�

â�œ Still in the OK. They have problems with finding the bullet.â�

â�œOh God... And Julie? Did they caught that bitch?â�

â�œIâ�™m afraid she ran away as soon as she shot you...â�

A few hours went by. Isa was gone, back to her home. Lillian was all alone in her room. She tried to get up, and after 10 minutes and a lot of pain, she finally succeeded. She walked and with every step she took, it felt like Julie shot her again.

â�˜Come on Lillian... Hold on! You have to see him. Alex...â�™

When she finally entered his room, she was shocked that here were so much machines around him.

â�œAlex? Hun itâ�™s me...â�

Alexandre didnâ�™t open his eyes. He didnâ�™t move at all.

â�œAlex... Please, say something! Open your eyes!â�

A tear rolled down Lillianâ�™s cheek because it looked like she was talking to Alexandreâ�™s corpse. She took his hand and gave a kiss on it.

â�œPlease open your eyes... For me?â� Lillian begged.

It was like a miracle... Alexandre opened his eyes as soon as she ended her sentence. He couldnâ�™t say anything, because there was a tube down his throat. When he saw Lillian, he started crying to. Lillian felt uncomfortable. There was a weird, tragic atmosphere in this room. She had the feeling something was wrong, besides that Alexandre was connected to all those machines. He pulled his hand away from Lillianâ�™s and formed with his other hand a heart. Then he pointed at Lillian.

â�œI love you to...â� Lillian whispered, while tears still were rolling down her cheeks.

â�˜He canâ�™t do this... Not now! We still have so much things to do... He canâ�™t ...â�™

Alexandre started to cry hysterical and he widened his eyes. He tried to scream, but with the tube down his throat he felt more pain. He grabbed Lillianâ�™s hand and squeezed in it. With eyes full of pain and tears he looked at her.

â�œNO! Fight back! Donâ�™t you take goodbye from me! Not now Alex!! NOT NOW!â� Lillian screamed.

â�œI-ian...â�

Alexandre tried to say her name... His throat hurt due to that tube...

He touched her face with his one hand and hold her hand with his others. He whiped some tears.

â�œNo... I canâ�™t live without you! Donâ�™t you tell me not to cry about you... I donâ�™t want to go to your funeral ... Alex... Please...!â�

He looked into her eyes. She saw they were full of sorrow and that they were desperate. He brought his hand to his heart and pointed again at her. His other hand was still touching her face.

Suddenly his hand fell down, his eyes closed and a machine behind his started making weird noises. Lillian started screaming.

Two doctors ran into his room. Lillian backed away from Alexandreâ�™s bed and collapsed in a corner of his room. A nurse walked to wards her and picked her up.

Lillian was lying in her hospital bed.

â�˜Why...?â�™

She knew this was Alexandreâ�™s end. He said goodbye to her. Deep inside she was torn apart. She didnâ�™t know how she could go on without his gentle voice, his touches, his sparkling eyes telling her everything would be okay...

â�˜But this time nothing will be okay... He isnâ�™t here anymore...â�™

Lillian couldnâ�™t believe it. She didnâ�™t want to believe it.

â�˜But I canâ�™t be in a denial... I saw him die.. He died by my hand...â�™

She laid her hand on her face. The place where Alexandre touched her for the last time.

â�˜There was still so much I wanted to tell him. I canâ�™t kiss him anymore... I even couldnâ�™t kiss him goodbye... Oh Alex. Why did you leave this soon. Why did we have to say goodbye? Whyâ�¦ ?â�™

Her pillow was wet from her tears. Suddenly a doctor entered the room.

â�œAre you here to tell me heâ�™s dead? I know that already...â�

â�œUh... No, Iâ�™m here for you.â�

Lillian turned around and looked at him, confused, but still crying.

â�œIâ�™m here to tell you the bullet went straight through your womb.â�

â�œSo?â�

â�œIâ�™m sorry, Miss Adelie, but you lost your baby. Thatâ�™s why youâ�™re still bleeding vaginal.â�

It felt like somebody slapped Lillian in the face.

â�œBut... I wasnâ�™t... I canâ�™t be...â�

â�œYou were pregnant.â�

â�œBut I took the birthcontrolpill...â�

â�œDid you take it constantly?â�

â�œYes.â�

â�œAnd you didnâ�™t menstruate in months?â�

â�œNo.â�

â�œThat would explain a lot.â�

Lillian turned her back to the doctor.

â�˜I was pregnant... I carried Alexandreâ�™s baby...â�™

She cried like she never did before. She curled up in a ball, with her hands on her belly.

That day there didnâ�™t die two human beings, but two people and one soul.

Part 19: When everything feels like the movies...

â�œAs I hold her close in my arms she mumbled something about a gunâ�

â�œWhat gun?â�

She looked at Alexandre and burst out in tears.

â�œOh hunâ�

She hold tight onto Alexandre when he tried to get her up. He gentle pushed her into the couch and sat next to her. She told him what happened only 10 minutes ago. With every word, his eyes widened. When she told him that Julie pointed a gun at her, he grabbed her hand and squeezed it.

â�œI never knew Julie was capable doing such things.â�

â�˜This is all my fault... I was so stupid to believe I loved her...â�™

He thought of things they could do. Tears still rolled down Lillianâ�™s cheeks. He knew that he wouldnâ�™t leave Lillian alone, not even for a second!

â�œMaybe we can call the police?â� he suggested.

â�œDo you think they would believe us?â�

â�œI donâ�™t know...â�

â�œWeâ�™re both 16. I donâ�™t think they would believe two teenagers. Every word weâ�™re saying sounds ridiculous to them.â� Lillian said, somehow a bit mad.

Alexandre clenched his fists.

â�˜There must be a way to protect her.â�™

He chucked into the sofa.

â�œIt feels like weâ�™re caught in a bad action movie...â� Alexandre said desperate.

* A week later *

Isa looked at Sam. He looked so different... His face was pale and she noticed he lost some weight.

â�œSam? Is there something wrong?â� She said, while she tried to look into his eyes.

â�œNo... No love.â� He said.

He avoided her attempt to make eye-contact.

â�œAre you sure? You look... concerned about something.â�

â�œI said NO!â� He brutally said.

Isa scared of the tone in his voice. She had never seen him so tensed. He nervously looked around. She remarked that he stared at everybody who passed by. It looked like he was searched for a reason to accuse them of something.

â�œIâ�™m goneâ� Isa said, interrupting the silence.

She took her bag and quickly went to her car, not saying or kissing Sam goodbye. Not even looking at him. She didnâ�™t know what was wrong with him.

â�˜But if he keeps on acting like that, not like the Sam I fell in love with, I donâ�™t want to go any further with him. Heâ�™s acting like a jerk. And that all week. But the thing thatâ�™s haunting me the most is that... He keeps something away from me. He hides something from me. And I canâ�™t stand it.â�™

They were close to a break-up...

* That evening *

â�œIsaâ�

â�œIsa... Itâ�™s Sam here.â�

â�œOh youâ� she said.

â�œIâ�™m sorry Isa... I wasnâ�™t myself this noon...â�

â�œOh serious?â�

â�œIsa please...â�

â�œYouâ�™re hiding something from me. And I donâ�™t like it, Sam.â�

â�œYes.â�

Isa was blasted away. Sheâ�™d never expected that he would hide something from here. Or admit it that easy. And by hearing his voice, she knew it was something serious!

â�œPlease ... Let me explain!â�

Isa sighed.

â�œCan you be here in 10 minutes?â�

â�œIâ�™ll be there!â�

He ended the conversation and ran to his car. He knew it wouldnâ�™t be easy to tell her the story. Although it hadnâ�™t to do anything with Isa... She sat on the porch of her house when Sam arrived. When he walked towards her she saw that he still looked the same as that noon â�“except for his eyes. They were soft looking into hers. He hugged her tightly and they sat down.

â�œWhatâ�™s going on Sam?â�

â�œIâ�™ve done something very stupid, Isa...â�

Alexandre looked at Lillian. That day they bought an alarm for burglars and somebody replaced the locks on the door. But they couldnâ�™t help it. They felt haunted. Every movement, every shadow, every sound outside could be Julie. As soon as Lillian saw or heard anything, she screamed and Alexandre ran to the sound of her screams. He hated to see her that way. She barely ate something and lost some pounds. As weeks went by, they started to feel comfortable again. When they dared to get out of the house again, Lillian was sick and threw up... But a week later she was better. Alexandre enjoyed how she ate again. And the pounds she lost, she gained again. They made again long walks and had fun in the park. Lillian and Alexandre had romantic times again. It was just like nothing happened...

Nobody had seen Julie the past couple of weeks. Some people said she was missing because she jumped from the bridge, into the river. Others said that she moved to Europe...

â�œYou have to tell them!â�

â�œI canâ�™t! Alexandre would kill me!â�

Isa and Sam had an argument.

â�œIt wasnâ�™t your fault!â� Isa replied.

â�œPlease Isa... I canâ�™t!â�

Sam looked desperate.

â�œYouâ�™ve been hiding this weeks from them... Iâ�™ve been hiding it to. Trust me when I tell you Alexandre wonâ�™t kill you.â�

â�œI donâ�™t want to lose him! Heâ�™s my best friendâ� Sam whispered.

â�œIâ�™ll help you telling them. Iâ�™ll explain the situation when they donâ�™t understand. But please love, you have to tell them!â�

â�œOkay...â� Sam sighed after a silence. â�œBut youâ�™re coming with me, right?â�

â�œYes.â�

â�œIsa, Sam!â�

â�œHello.â�

â�œCome in!â�

Isa and Sam entered the living room. They sat down in the couch when Sam seriously said he had to confess something. Alexandre looked at him, confused because his friend was so nervous.

â�œOkay. Before I start my story I want you to know this: it was never my intention ... I never wanted this to...â�

Sam sighed.

â�œPlease stay my friends after this... I know Iâ�™m stupid and I would completely understand if youâ�™d want to kill me but...â�

â�œSamâ� Alexandre laughed. â�œCool down mate. We wonâ�™t kill you. Just tell usâ�

He said with still a grin on his face.

â�˜Is he joking or something?â�™

Part 18: â�œWhen a jealous (wo)man finds a gun.â�

â�œLil, hun!â�

Somewhere in the distance, Lillian heard someone calling her name.

â�œYes?â� She whispered.

â�œWake up love.â�

She opened her eyes. Lillian was still in the plane. She gazed into two blue and sparkling eyes.

â�œAlex?â�

She was a bit groggy. She brought her hand to her head and tried to sit up.

â�œThe plane is already empty. Weâ�™ve got to go now.â�

Just then she noticed that there were no people left on the plane, except for her, Alexandre and an air hostess. She got up, a bit wavering. Alexandre grabbed her when she stumbled and almost fell.

â�œWatch out! Whatâ�™s wrong?â�

â�œI-I donâ�™t know...â� She still whispered.

â�œO-kay...â� Alexandre said while looking at her in a concerned way.

They both stumbled their way to the exit. Lillian felt slightly her head hurt.

â�˜What is going on with me? Why am I this weak?â�™

When Alexandre set foot on the floor her turned around, took Lillian her hand and said:

â�œBienvenu Ã Paris, Mademoiselle.â�

Lillian giggled. She never knew that he could talk French and that it sounded so exotic. Ã�nd sexy.

â�œThanks... I guessâ� she said with a small smirk. â�œWhat did you say?â�

â�œWelcome in Paris.â�

â�œOh... Cool!â�

â�œAre you okay?â�

â�œYes I guess...â�

â�œI couldnâ�™t wake you up in the plane.â�

â�œYeah... It was and still is weird for me to. I still feel a bit dizzy in my headâ� She said with a weird grin around her lips.

â�œNow where do we have to go?â�

Alexandre quickly changed the subject, because he wanted to forget this weird occurrence.

â�œOh... Uhm... My dad said he would be waiting in this restaurant called â�˜Bon Appetitâ�™, I think.â�

â�œAnd where is that?â�

â�œI donâ�™t know. Somewhere in this terminal I think. Letâ�™s search for a map or something. Or ask one of the people who work here...â�

â�œOkay.â�

Lillian started to feel better and it felt like she could think straight again.

Isa was on the phone with Sam.

â�œIâ�™m so sorry of yesterday... My parents are so annoying...â�

â�œOh no, itâ�™s okay sweetie! I wanted to come, remember?â�

â�œYeah... But still.â�

â�œWait till you see my parents. They are nuts!â�

Isa smirked.

â�œSo when am I going to see you again?â�

â�œUhh... Tomorrow my parents obliged me to go with them to an aunt of my mom or something.â�

â�œThe day after tomorrow?â�

â�œYep. Iâ�™m free then.â�

â�œ2PM in the mall?â�

â�œOkay.â�

â�œSee you then love!â�

â�œCanâ�™t wait.â�

â�œLove you. Bye!â�

â�œLove you to!â�

She threw down the telephone.

â�œSo was that Sam?â�

Isa turned around quickly when her dad startled her.

â�œYes that was him. And how long have you been standing behind my door?â�

â�œOh Isa...â�

â�œWhat? I donâ�™t think itâ�™s okay to sneak behind my back and listen to my phone calls. Donâ�™t you trust me or something? Itâ�™s not that Iâ�™m going to endanger myself... Iâ�™m not stupid you know!â� she raged.

â�œI donâ�™t sneak behind your back, silly child! It was just a question!â�

She slammed her bedroom door and Isa could hear he went down the stairs. It was like he stamped on every step that hard that she had to hear it. Isa sighed and felt stupid for yelling at her dad.

â�œOoooh...â�

â�œWhat?â�

Alexandre said, concerned. He didnâ�™t like Lillianâ�™s facial expression. Heâ�™d never seen her like this before, so he was scared something seriously wasnâ�™t right.

â�œI took a pill on a plane...â�

â�œW-What?â� Alexandre stuttered. He was still in confusion and wondered what a pill had to do with their walk through the terminal...

â�œYes! Now I remember. You told me to sleep... But I was still so frightened so I took one or maybe two sleeping pills.â�

â�œSo thatâ�™s why you fell asleep so soon. And I couldnâ�™t wake you up was, because the pills hadnâ�™t worn of!â�

â�œYes, I guess. But it turned out that the pills have the wrong effect on me afterwards.â�

â�œCould you please tell me things like that before you do it the next time?â�

â�œYes... Iâ�™m sorry!â�

â�œOh hun.â�

He took her in his arms.

â�œOh! Look over there! Thereâ�™s your dad!â�

Lillian turned around quickly.

â�œDAD!â�

She ran towards him and almost jumped into his arms.

â�œWoow... Somebody did miss me!â�

â�œWould you ever doubt about that?â�

â�œAh no pumpkin pie!â�

â�œBuh... Donâ�™t you start with that name. Iâ�™m all grown up now.â�

â�œBut still my pumpkin pie!â�

â�œDaaaad!!â�

Alexandre looked at them, smiling.

â�œSo you brought Alexandre with you!â�

â�œYes.â�

â�œHello Sir.â�

â�œOh come on Alex! Stop with that sir-thing! How many times more do I have to tell you that you can call me Frank!â�

â�œOkay then... Hello Frank!â�

â�œWell thatâ�™s better. So itâ�™s almost time to introduce to you the women I left you for!â�

â�œSheâ�™d better be good!â� Lillian said, laughing.

They stepped into the car.

â�œOh and have I mentioned that Alexandre and I are a couple now?â�

â�œSeriously?â�

â�œDo you want to see us kiss as a proof maybe?â� Lillian defiant said.

â�œNo no! I always knew you two would fall for each others charms!â� He said, grinning.

Behind his back, Lillian rolled with her eyes so Alexandre laughed.

â�œWhatâ�™s so funny?â�

â�œNothing... Nothing!â� Lillian said.

After driving an hour, they arrived at a cottage, in the middle of nowhere...

â�œItâ�™s so beautiful over here! And you live in such a beautiful cottage!â� Lillian said, exited.

The door opened and a women with brown, curly hair stepped outside. Lillian looked at her and thought the women resembled a bit like her mom.

â�œBonjour Lillian. Itâ�™s nice to meet youâ� She said, with a heavy French accent.

â�œHello! Itâ�™s nice to meet you to!â�

â�œSo this is Marianne! Marianne, ici câ�™est ma fille. Elle adore ton maison!â�

â�œAah... Elle est trÃ©s jolie! Elle a tes yeux, tu sais?â�

â�œMerci. Je suis trÃ©s fiÃ¨re dâ�™elle...â�

Lillian stared at them, not understanding a word that came from their mouths. It was weird to hear her dad speaking French. But she liked it anyway. It was nice to see him so happy here. As days went by, Lillian and Alexandre had an amazing time in Paris. Lillian almost cried when she had to say goodbye to her dad. She really loved the place over there. When they were in the plane, she was frightened again. But Alexandre tried to comfort her by holding her hand and whispering sweet words in her ear. When they got home, Lillian felt like she had never left the place. When Alexandre was outside, getting the suitcases out of the car, she was in the living room. She smelled the familiar scent of home.

â�œI thought you never would come home.â�

Lillian scared and turned around quickly.

â�œJulie, what in hell are you doing here?â�

Julie gave her a fake smile.

â�œAnd whatâ�™s the bitch doing here anyway?â� Lillian said.

Julie sneaked out of the house through the backdoor. Lillian collapsed immediately as she saw Julie go away. For a second she thought Julie actually shot her.

Both of them never felt like this. At that moment they both realized that this wasnâ�™t just a teen love. Nothing could ruin this night. Lillian felt so safe in Alexandres arms, and he felt like he could conquer the world with Lillian in his arms.

Sam stared into Isas eyes when he took her in his arms and kissed her softly.

Isa opened her door, quickly gave him a kiss again and went inside. Sam watched her closing the door. After she did it, he literally jumped in the air. He was so happy.

â�˜Omg! Whoâ�™d thought this night would end like this!â�™

Inside, Isa stood with her back against the door. She still couldnâ�™t believe what happened that night. She fell asleep with a big smile on her face. Sam whistled his way to his house.

Alexandre crashed his lips into Lillians. He got up and picked up the clothes that were spread everywhereâ�¦

Julie didnâ�™t slept that night. She cried her eyes out, still regretting what she did the night before.

Isa jumped out of the couch, running towards the bathroom. After she put on some make-up she combed her hair.

Then she went downstairs to clean up a little.

Isa looked out of the window.

â�œCome over and look through the window.â�

Lillian went to stand next to Isa.

In front of their eyes, there stood a white limousine!

â�œHe really did his best, didnâ�™t he?â� Lillian said, very impressed.

â�œAre you still sure Iâ�™m not ruining your night?â�

â�œHell no! Youâ�™ll be surprised to!â�

â�œWhat? Why?â�

â�œLetâ�™s just say, wait and see! Now letâ�™s go and donâ�™t let them wait!â�

â�œOK. Wait... Them?â�

â�œIsa stop talking and start moving!â�

â�œOk, Ok! Calm down!â�

They went outside and stared again at the limousine.

â�œImpressing isnâ�™t it?â� Alexandre said.

He had opened one of the windows.

â�œYes!â�

â�œI hope Iâ�™m not interrupting you two...-â�

â�œ-... Oh. I invited a friend.â� Alexandre said with a smirk on his face.

â�œLillian, please say you didnâ�™t...-â�œ

Sam stopped his sentence when he saw Isa.

Lillian gave Isa a little push, after a few seconds of silence.

â�œUh.. Hi...â� She said, very shy.

Samâ�™s face was hilarious.

â�œHey.â� He said, blasted away.

â�œWell come in girls!â�

They stepped into the car. Lillian sat nect to Alexandre. Right in front of them, Isa and Sam were both blushing. Alexandre gave Lillian a black rose.

â�œOmg! Itâ�™s beautiful!â�

She did the flower in her hair and gave him a kiss.

â�œSo... Sam couldnâ�™t find a date...â�

â�œAnd you havenâ�™t got a date to, Isa!â�

â�œMaybe you can go together?â�

â�œAnd be each others date?â�

â�œUhh. I would love to... If she wants to...â�

â�œOh. Of course!â�

â�œIf I knew, I wouldâ�™ve brought you something to!â�

They started a conversation.

They arrived at the place and after some songs, Lillian and Alexandre were dancing.

â�œTheh. You look great to hun! Iâ�™m going to get us some punch.â�

â�œOK, but wait just 2 seconds.â�

He grabbed her and kissed her like he really meant it. And she knew he meant it.

She went to the punchbowl. There stood Julie.

â�œHey Lil!â� she babbled.

â�œHi Julie. Have you drunk?â�

â�œOh just a bit.â� She giggled and went away.

â�˜Letâ�™s hope nobody will abuse her.â�

She filled two cups and went back to Alexandre. She saw him and Julie dancing. Suddenly Julie grabbed his ass and made out with him.

â�˜What in hell?!â�™

She ran towards them. Alexandre pushed Julie away and chastened his mouth on his sleeve.

â�œWtf were you doing?â�

She stood in front of Alexandre.

â�œLil... I swear I didnâ�™t want to kiss her, she pulled me over and ...-â�œ

â�œIâ�™m not talking to you hun.â�

She turned around.

â�œBut to that bitch!â�

Lillian looked at Julie, just like she was a piece of dirt.

â�œWhat is your problem?! So you like to tear everybody apart? â�˜Cause yes, I know that this isnâ�™t the first time you do something like that. And then you pretend like you are the victim. Leave us alone and stop ruining relationshipsâ�

Lillian was breathing heavy, as she was screaming at Julie.

â�œBut...â� Julie muttered.

â�œWhy donâ�™t you just get a life and stop being the alcoholistic whore?!â�

Lillian threw the punch in Julieâ�™s face. She seemed to wake up and she ran away, crying of humuliation. Everybody on the dancefloor was staring at Lillian. They were whispering about her. And off course about Julie. They had pitty for her, but they knew Lillian was right. And since when were Lillian and Alexandre start dating?

Lillian said to them: â�œYes we are dating, so get over it!â�

Just like she could read their minds. Then she turned over to Alexandre.

â�œYouâ�™re OK hun?â�

â�œMore then ok! I didnâ�™t know you could yell like that.â�

â�œMe neither.â�

â�œIt kind of turns me on.â�

â�œSilly.â�

Everybody acted like everything was normal. They knew they shouldnâ�™t mess with Lillian. And gave her right for 100%. But what they didnâ�™t knew is that Lillian made a big mistake. But sheâ�™d only knew that in a week...

â�œBecause I love him ok?!â� Julie answerred.

When she ran away from Lillian and Alexandre, her best friend, Anna, followed her. And then she asked why she kissed him.

â�œWoow.â�

â�œPretty messed up, isnâ�™t it?â�

â�œKind of...â�

â�œI made a big mistake on the phone, Anna. I thought I wasnâ�™t ready for a new relationship. And look at me now. The man I love is now on the dancefloor with that stupid bitch!â�

â�œI hunger to kiss him again, Anna...â�

Back on the dancefloor, Alexandre was holding Lillian tight in his arms.

â�˜For a minute there, I thought I lost her.â�™

Part 12: I predict a riot

After shopping, Alexandre picked Lillian and Isa up and drove to Lillianâ�™s house. At the house they ate pizza. And talked a lot of course! At 9PM, Isa decided to leave. After Lillian closed the door behind her back:

â�œSoâ�¦â� Alexandre said.

â�œIsa loves Samâ� â�œSam loves Isa!â� They both said at the same time.

â�œOMG! Thatâ�™s awesome!â� Lillian said, exited.

â�œI know!â�

â�œIsa thinks Sam doesnâ�™t like her.â�

â�œHaâ�¦ Thatâ�™s funny. Sam thinks the same about her!â�

â�œWe should do something so they would know about each others feelings.â�

â�œOh! I know something!â� Alexandre shouted.

â�œTell meâ�¦â� Lillian said

*Next morning*

Lillian slowly woke up. She fell asleep in Alexandreâ�™s arms yesterday. She was wondering where he could be now. But she started to smile. On her desk there stood a vase with red roses. Next to the vase she saw her breakfast and a card. She went to it and read the card. It said:

â�œBecause itâ�™s promday today, Iâ�™m gone! But I couldnâ�™t leave without lying this on your desk. Enjoy your breakfast. And if youâ�™re ready you have to go downstairsâ�¦

She actually made this squeaky noise when she read the last line. She wanted to go downstairs as fast as she could, but she ate first her breakfast. After it, she ran downstairs with her PJâ�™s on. Downstairs, she couldnâ�™t believe her eyes. First there was a note on the door, saying:

â�œBecause I never asked...â�

Her jaw dropped when she opened the door and saw all those candles. The candles formed the words:

â�œU+ME 2 PROM?â�

On the table there was another note:

â�œIâ�™ll clean up laterâ� (She laughed) â�œCall me?â�

As soon as she could, she phoned him.

â�œAlex.â�

â�œThe answer is yes!â�

â�œLillian?â�

â�œYes!!â�

â�œGod hun! I didnâ�™t expect that youâ�™d call me this soonâ�¦â�

â�œOh you!â�

â�œIâ�™m missing you to deathâ�¦â�

â�œMe toâ�¦â�

â�œI really canâ�™t wait to pick you up tonight!â�

â�œThiiâ�¦ Me neither.â�

Then she heard the beeping tone. He had laid the phone down. Lillian couldnâ�™t wait for that night. She let her fall on the couch, watching at the candles. She didnâ�™t want to, but she blew them out.

â�˜So how would Isa be? Iâ�™ll go and visit her. I still have to ask herâ�¦-â�™

She got dressed. And went over to Isaâ�™s place. Her mom opened the door.

â�œHello Lillian! Isa is upstairsâ�¦ Itâ�™s nice to see your face again.â�

â�œThank you Mrs Lacey.â�

Lillian went upstairs and entered Isaâ�™s room. Her promdress was lying in her bed. For some reason she didnâ�™t seem excited.

â�œHi. Whatâ�™s wrong girl?â�

Isa turned around.

â�œOh hey Lillian. I didnâ�™t expect you here.â�

â�œYeah I know. Now tell me whatâ�™s wrong.â�

â�œWellâ�¦ Itâ�™s stupidâ�¦ And I mean really stupidâ�¦â�

â�œOh come on, itâ�™s probably not that stupid.â�

â�œOk then. I have no dateâ�¦â�

â�œAahw girl! Thatâ�™s not stupidâ�¦ You know what!â�

â�œWhat?â�

â�œCome at my house. Weâ�™ll help each other with hair and stuff. And then you can come with me and Alex to the place.â�

Isa asked her mom, off course she said she could go so they went to Lillianâ�™s place.

â�œAt 8 PM Alex is going to pick us up.â�

Lillian opened her door.

â�œWhatâ�™s with those candles?â�

â�œOhâ�¦ Something Alexandre didâ�¦â�

She said with a smirk on her face.

â�œYouâ�™re really lucky with him, you know.â�

â�œYeahâ�¦ I do know.â�

At 6.30 PM they started to get ready. Lillian put on her red dress with matching shoes. Then she did her make-up, with a little help from Isa. Finally she curled her hair. Isa wore a black dress with white polka dots and black shoes. Lillian helped her to do her hair in a messy pony tail.

â�œYou look outstanding!â� Lillian said

â�œThank you! So do youâ�

They waited until suddenly they heard a car honking.

*In the car*

â�œBut I feel like an intruderâ�¦â�

â�œShut up Sam!â�

Sam sighed.

â�œHave it your way.â�

â�œGod, I wanted you to be with us! Donâ�™t be so childish.â�

â�˜I hope Lillian convinced her toâ�¦â�™
